I would really like it if you would add Stephen King's novels and short stories on here... He's a really good author and I love his stuff

He's still alive, isn't he? My point being, copyright is definitely an issue.

'Fraid so. Only books out of copyright are published here. Authors who have only recently died are not elegible either. The most recent author on the site, I think is Agatha Christie. So we won't be seeing any Samuel Beckett, who died in 1989, or other late-ish 20th Century writers stuff for some time here. Which is a shame, because it sure beats paying for it!

If you want to put it that way... yes. To get a work of a living author on the web is not so easy... and not many authors would do that because then they wouldn't get paid.
