Hello! I'm a new member of the community and I'm more or less just trying to find more friends who like the same types of books I do. And whom can recommend some great ones!
I'm a fantasy die-hard, I know I know, not another one. I love books with elves, orcs, dragons etc. Pretty norm when it comes to the stereotypical fantasy book. The problem I have is finding the right books. I'm a pretty finicky person when it comes to my books. I read them by my mood. If I need a little sunshine in my life I look for a book with a happy ending. If I'm in the mood to think and contemplate for hours on end, I look for a serious/drama book. And for those lonely quiet nights, I look for the more explicit side of fantasy literature. I would think this is fairly norm for most people, but I imagine not many are willing to share it publicly. But this is the internet and I welcome the blessing of anonymousity with open arms.
Oh, and most importantly, I enjoy series the most. I love a great book series where the story just continues or branches throughout the same world.
So, does anyone have any good recommendations for any of my categories?
Most recently read books:
•Dusk - Tim Lebbon (excellent starter to a series, explicit but not sexually, very gorey and shock-written)
•Truth and Steal - Thomas Reid (excellent book, drama/action at its best with a excellent ending)
•The Blood Red Harp - Elain Cunningham (hilarious book with a good ending)
About to start reading:
•Dawn - Tim Lebbon (2nd book in the series)
Please dont be shy! Let me hear your recommendations and thoughts!
