Hello there! I'm a new member and a veteran teacher of 43 years; I am also quite technology challenged. However, I am trying! This site sounds wonderful. My question concerns the protagonist Lily Bart in Wharton's House of Mirth. What do you think is "the word" she whispers as she dies at the end of the book? Why do you think so? Thanks! :bawling:

Nice to make your acquaintance. I am currently a teacher, and I must congratulate on working 40+ in the business. Teaching is a challenge, but it's really fun too, as I'm sure you already know.

As to your question, it's probably better asked in the Authors -->Wharton forum, and one of our most excellent and beneficent moderators will likely move it there.

I'd try to respond to it here, but I'm unfamiliar with Wharton's works, though, like many others, they are on my list.
