Is it worth reading? If yes, why?
I loved it and found it very funny. It's the most accessible in the trilogy that comprises Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnameable. Still, possibly not going to be to everyone's taste.
A litterature professor - authority on Becket - recommended this book to me, as the best introduction to the Becket univers, but somehow I couldn't find it in Foyles when I was passing by London a few months ago. Instead I bought "Murphey", which will be on my "to read" book next month.
