I would be happy with just a sunny day. Today is the 19th of June and I think we've had rain for 18 of the 19 days and more is expected for the next few. You would think I lived in a rain forest. :D

Well, here's to the summer solstice with a sunny day. :)

We have been having considerably good weather here but they are predicting rain for the weekend.

Another summer song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWXcjYNZais&feature=related

Love this song. It was the theme tune for a deodorant commercial... oh, when I was 8 and loved it first time I heard it.

Let's celebrate the arrival of summer in style! Around here we always do: Midsummer is a big thing here and the party is on.

Oh that is a great song. I love it too. It does remind me of summer.

I wonder if there is a youtube video of your (Sweden) midsummer partying. That would be interesting to see.

You've been having this dreary rain too? Urrgh. I can't wait for the sun to come out. I can't recall such a stretch of rainy weather.

Oh you must be in California. It's pouring here again. This is 19 of 20 days with some rain. Your parade sounds like fun. :)

yeah, I'm in California. Pretty much always. ;)

Indeed I will! Haven't uploaded them yet though. It was quite fun. An added point of interest to the parade is that all of the floats must be human-powered - so everything moves by bike, wagon, wheeled float, or some contraption derived from one of those.

It's way too hot in Ohio. I don't like the heat, if it gets above 70F I get really uncomfortable. And it was 90F today! I need to find some time to cool off in the city pool. :D

I wonder if there is a youtube video of your (Sweden) midsummer partying. That would be interesting to see.You can find lots of them if you search for "midsommar", which is swedish for midsummer, but most of them are just a short snip of people in ancient clothes performing old folk dances around a pole (nothing wrong with that of course, but that is just the traditional bit of the thing which also involves a lot of good food and (ahem) drink, singing and generally partying until early morning.

What the hell part of Ohio are you in? We've had some humidity here but no temperatures approaching 90 that I've noticed.

bah, I refuse to accept this as the start of summer. I am going to wage a one man campaign to have the start of summer moved to mid-may. After all this is mid-summer solstice

here in santa barbara, it really feels like the start of summer. most of may and june are very cloudy and somewhat cool. and just in time for the solstice, it has become exceedingly sunny and much warmer.
