Sit and dream a while with me -
Dream of when the world was made,
Of the words that called to being,
Of the wind that blessed the earth.

Sit and dream a while with me -
Dream of the One on the cross,
Of mansions in Heaven bought with crimson and gold;
Of an open channel 'twixt man and God.

Sit and dream a while with me -
Dream of how the world will end,
Of colors grieving for the dead,
Of the world denied.

Sit and dream a while with me -
Dream of a dying world,
Of a silence that penetrates, deafens...
...Then a white flower raises its head, waiting.

I really like it. Life, death, beginnings, endings, rebirth; lovely.

Absolutely beautiful imagery there! The third stanza stands out with particular force for me.

I love that line - 'sit and dream a while with me'

'dream of how the world will end'

scary stuff, mind boggling if you think about it.

A great ending to a wonderful poem!
