Ugh. That last one wold be funny if it weren't true.

Any parent who doesn't safely strap kids into appropriate safety seats is a total failure.

I called out to a woman recently to put her kids in seatbelts when I saw her waiting at traffic lights with five unharnessed children in her car.

I was told to **** off and given the appropriate finger gesture.

That's some serious fail.

I can't tell if you're being an arse or what but I still think FAIL is funny. It's fun to assign a big obnoxious FAIL to someone, especially someone at work, and especially when they don't know that they've just earned the big bucket of FAIL title. Like, for example, they write a stupid email and inadvertantly send it everyone in the entire company directory. Then that person's email is being forwarded around to everyone with a big FAIL on it to provide 5 or 10 more seconds of amusement at his/her expense (the original emailer is excluded of course - they can't know this is going on). And if some doofus inadvertantly sends this FAIL email to the original emailer, then that person and everyone else gets a big FAIL as well. FAIL is funny. FAIL and LOL cats help me get through a boring day at work sometimes, even if they're kind of stale these days. Don't be knocking the FAIL - if that's what you're doing there. If not, well, just ignore me.

Oh, and I'm aware of the fact that I'm probably deserving of about a million Lit Net FAILS and that's fine too. I'm going to start posting FAIL in response to all posts that I disagree with or that piss me off. That is if I can get off this other web site long enough to come here anymore. I'll do it one day when I start drinking again maybe.

I think you're missing the point Aimus. The site only highlights the extreme "fails" that exist in our world.

"Fail" can be applied to almost everything.
Here, let me demonstrate...

Last night an incredibly (racist) and very boring joke was said, and I could not help but shake my head and brand it - "FAIL"

The term "fail" can be applied to everything people well, fail at.

Bad jokes.
Failed calls.
Pointless arguments.
Failed attempts to make a point, etc, etc

And here urban dictionary has been kind enough to lend us a definition:

either an interjection used when one disapproves of something, or a verb meaning approximately the same thing as the slang form of suck.

Yes. That could also be considered a FAIL in itself. But I wasn't planning on being that thorough. IMO, most US natives think that way, so the America FAIL should be the first one to come to mind.

Canadians think that way too. If anyone calls us American, we get really offended and that's no lie. I've seen Europeans come over and refer to us as American and it never goes over well. I can't speak for Mexicans though.
