Hello, I have to write a research paper regarding a non European nature writer. The class heavily focuses on popular Transcendentalist(Emerson, Thoreau, Whitman) so something along those lines. It does not matter what type of literature.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I admit to being a little confused at your question: You mention "non European" nature writers, yet list the Americans (and hence, non-European) Thoreau, Emerson. . .as your class focal points.

I read a great deal of nature writing, particularly American writers. If you'd like some of Americans try Barry Lopez, Mary Austin, Rachel Carson, Edward Abbey, Bernd Heinrich, Mary Oliver, Michael Pollan, John Westley Powell, Joseph Wood Crutch, John McPhee, & co.

I don't read too much nature writing by other "world" writers, to my discredit; not out of disrespect, of course, but rather, I have a fondness for reading the natural history of the places I've lived or visited and of the flora and fauna that I know.

Good Hunting!
