Hello all,
I'm a Finnish hobbyist writer, currently in the process of sending a 410 page manuscript to the publishing houses of Finland. I never realized most of them take only one-sided paper copies! Our poor printer has spat out 4 copies by now.
I write with my common-law wife and, in addition to the abovementioned, finished book, we have written two other books (about the same length) and are currently revising them. There are two new stories on the way as well but we have to keep them on hold because otherwise we'll never manage to put the finishing touches on the previous ones. It's funny how we delete and delete parts while revising and yet the page count increases slightly on every reading. Damn additions! :D
Anyway, we're both students of the English language (hopefully I haven't made any major blunders in this post) and very fond of English literature (although I have a slight preference of prose over poetry, my all-time favorite author is William Blake).
That's about it. If anybody feels they have nothing much to do and wants to read our finished story, please feel free to say so here or send me a PM (but be forewarned, it's long). A bunch of our friends have read it and we've learned the value of good feedback (it's priceless).
