I found this forum today while trying to find the answer to a question I have. It's a great site, much happening and such a huge span of interest.
Here's the question that started me on the voyage:
Can anyone id a novel set in early 20th century London that has a minor character, a hindu who calls himself "the universal observer"? He was a tenant in the building where the important action takes place and held the key to the mystery the main protagonists tried to unravel but no-one thought to ask him until they had given up hope.
The day I read that was the day I stopped seeing some people as furniture.
thanks
Keith
