Continue the series?

I have recently read both Dune and Ender's Game, both of them excelent books, but I haven't yet read the rest of either series and wasn't sure if it would be worth it or not. I have heard from some people that in both cases the subsequent books are not nearly as good as the first ones, I would like to know what you guys think. Thanx.

Opinions of course, are cheap. Here is mine: I was not impressed with either attempt at continuing a tale told as it was originally intended, each in one book. Dune and Enders Game are both entertaining reads, partly because of their originality. Period. The continuance of both cheapens the first artistic rendering of these worlds...........imho. But hey, the only way to really judge a book is by reading the entire book, and then an account may be given: "yeah, it stank!!" , or "It was a great book!" I suggest you read everything, and than 'farenheit' the junk......
