New to Children's Literature Online Course

Hello All! Im new to this site and i am also new to taking a Literature course, Children's Literature, to be exact. It's online as well. I was wondering if someone could give me any helpful tips?

I just finished a children's lit on line course. I enjoyed it, but I can't say it was new information for me. The only tip I could suggest would be to read a lot of children's books to become familiar with well known authors/illustrators and their styles.
