Flirting With the Moon
A reply, a thank you.

Oh, come here moon,
Let me sit beneath you,
That your sparks might fly,
Though you are usually still and quiet.

That drum, my heart, so fast,
Deep within your circulation,
Like my finger stirring a pool of water,
Never still, never quiet.

Looking through you,
My eyes past yours, and you,
Feeling gloriously naked in my watch,
Waiting still, waiting quietly.

I think the images in this are amazing, in particular

Like my finger stirring a pool of water,
Never still, never quiet.

I like the way you used the final lines of each stanza. Wonderful poem, Amp.

Lovely! I wouldn't have used "flirting" in the title inasmuch as that, to me, always implies something transient, playful, not necessarily sincere.

A good example of the power of simple, direct language, a la Langston Hughes.
