Hello ..

long answer

1 - what are the paraliel relationships between the novel and the history of russia ?

The story is the history of the Russian Revolution.

Read the sticky thread at the top of the page for the long answer - it's all in there.

2 -Why does communism succeed in theory and fall in practice ?

Because people are human and subject to emotions of greed, jealousy and all the other bits which make us what we are.

120+ years ago, a very clever man named Lord Acton said: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

He was right.

I have to say, it amuses me a Little that the thread isn't the first place people look.

Maybe the title isn't obvioius enough? Bit too subtle?

I cannot help but question your intentions as to whether you are asking just for help or to understand the concept in its entirety. All you need to know is the russian revolution with Stalin and Trotsky, and even with out the fore kowledge of the russian revolution, the flaws in a realistic communistic society are evidently sown by the course of the book. it all has to do with power.
