Hi all,

New here.

Forgive the presumably obvious question (to ye) but is there a non-fiction section, or is non-fiction dealt with at all here. I'm a junkie for bios and am looking for like minded souls.

Currently, I'm reading 'Dying To Survive' by an Irish ex-junkie who's turned her life around, and was wondering if that's up for discussion?

Regards to all,
Rower.

Hi, yes of course it is up for discussion, as far as I know people talk about non fiction here, though sadly I do not read much non fiction apart from theory and critical stuff; I read very few bios.

Actually I have probably read under 10 bios and those consist of people like Shelley, Keats, Wilde and the likes of Wordsworth (I have read a few on Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne as I am a Sabbath fan, but that is all). I do find them interesting but they are more of an aside to the main matter of the works themselves. I am also not a fan of interpreting works through the biographical background of the author, so when I do read them it is like I said, more of an aside because I am interested in the author very much.

So I have not read the book you mentioned, maybe someone else has?

Edit: Oh, as this has been moved I guess I was wrong, it doesn't go in this section. Told you I didn't read much non fiction.

Hello :)

Currently no, there's no specific forum for discussion of non-fiction, it would go in General Lit, but it's an idea I'll mention to the Admin of the site.
