I prefer the change, it sounds better. If it was without the word "hat" it would not make as much impression as with it.

Prince, I never saw it without the hat, but only with it. It's a great poem! :)
Reminds me a little of De Bono and his hats, but he never had Truth hats and Lying hats. :)
I think often if you say something enough, no matter what it is, it becomes felt as truth.
