Happy Birthday! :)
An interview with Zanna:
If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
"Just Another Awkward Moment," by Finding Lenny.
Are you male or female?
Female
What makes you keep coming back?
I like getting feedback on the things I post, and reading the cool stuff other people have written. =)
Which countries have you visited?
USA, France, England, Germany, Austria! Hopefully many more in the future. =)
If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?
Germany, because I like the culture (and climate).
What makes you happy?
Lots of little things . . . a good book, someone's smile, when my favorite song comes on the radio . . .
What is mankind's biggest achievement, and its greatest downfall?
Understanding/lack thereof. When we are able to understand one another, it's easier to get along, and get things done; when we don't (or refuse to try), all sorts of bad stuff happens. =/
Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God?
No; I need to spend more time with Him, but I always seem too busy. =/
Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?
No one! The world is better off with just one iteration of my life -- as I live it!
Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
A big cat, like a panther or leopard, so I could be graceful and sleep in trees. =)
What makes you feel great about yourself?
When people thank me for helping them.
Who inspires you most?
My uncle, because he is in the army, but he's still really nice and funny. I appreciate his integrity and willingness to sacrifice his own plans, life, etc, for what he believes in.
What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)
I seem to have a knack for explaining things, which is handy. I'm good at reading -- even while riding in the car (or bus, etc)! =D
What is the one thing you must do before you die?
Skydive!
If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
Math and science!
What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?
I would regret not letting God guide my life. I trust that He knows what's best for me, but I still like to get in the way, sometimes. =/
What method do you cherish above all others, as means to improving your life?
Prayer and introspection.
What is your role in an emergency situation: the 911 dialer, the person who runs to the scene to help, the video recorder, or the person too overcome by shock to do anything?
The last one? I probably won't know until I'm in a situation like that.
Which book are you reading at the moment?
"Midnight is a Place;" Joan Aiken, and "The Looming Tower;" Lawrence Wright.
The last book you finished reading?
"The Bestseller;" Olivia Goldsmith -- a "guilty" beach read. =)
What is your favourite quote?
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." --Gandhi
Favorite food?/ Comfort food?
Fav = gelato! Comfort = toast and jam. =)
What time of day do you most often find yourself on the LitNet?
In the evening, while I'm "doing homework."
What are you wearing at the moment?
My awesome plaid pajama pants! I paid 99 cents for them at JC Penny's. Go me!
Favorite poem?
It's probably something by Shel Silverstien! I devoured "Where the Sidewalk Ends" and "A Light in the Attic" when I was younger. =)
First novel you remember reading on your own?
It was probably either "Little House on the Prairie," or "Heidi." Maybe one of the Boxcar Children books; I remember reading a lot of those. =)
Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?
Oh, lots of y'all! *whistles, refusing to pick favorites* :D
Favorite thread?
Probably the Shared Haiku. Even I can get involved!
What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?
Right now, I'm a student and tutor. So far, the bills get paid, and I manage to find time for LitNet. =) I would be a permanent student, if I had someone to bankroll me! I'll probably end up teaching, because that's where I'm leaning, and it's "second best" to being a student. =)
What question would you like to ask yourself?
When are you going to grow up?? Sheese.
What would you like to be if you could change your profession?
Engineer, probably. I <3 math and physics! =)
What was your very favorite moment in your life so far?
Probably a non-date date I had with one of my best guy friends; just the two of us. Clear summer nights with lots of moonlight make for good memories. =)
What scares you?
Rejection and confrontation.
If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?
My hair. I spend next-to-no time on it, so it's pretty boring, style-wise.
Which book do you wish you had written?
Twilight, ha ha. While I was reading it, I kept feeling like I'd written some of the same dialogue, in my cheesy stories.
Most favorite characters from books?
I really like the characters in Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. They seem like real people, even though the world they live in is rather fantastic.
What would your biography be titled?
Zanna: Slightly Exaggerated Melodrama!
What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Homework for my perspectives on terrorism class. =/ It's a rough topic, and it makes me dread the homework.
The most embarrassing moment in your life?
Erm, I think that's around here, somewhere! No need to rehash it!
Anything that you want to forget but you never can?
All the awesome dreams I had that I had to wake up from. =( It sucks when you realize it wasn't real! :bawling:
Tell us about some amusing translation mistake you have heard or made yourself.
"Good night" in German became "good naked," because of improper pronunciation.
If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
Maybe smell? I mean, I don't want to miss out on sunsets, or music, and feeling things is pretty essential . . . although I suppose if you couldn't smell, your taste would go, too. =(
What’s the first thing you’ll do in an embarrassing situation?
Blush, of course! That happens in even not-really-embarrassing situations. I can't help it.
Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
Eh, so so. I'm worried about a few things, but hopefully those pieces of the puzzle will fall together; otherwise everything's pretty peachy. =)
What gives your life meaning?
Church, school, friends. =)
What type of Faerie would you like to be and why?
I would be a small, shiny Faerie that would catch your eye, but I'd be too little to really see. The point of this is so you'll look in my direction, and end up seeing something really cool that I'm trying to draw attention to.
What makes you laugh?
Lots of things! Silly puns are great, though. =)
Do those animated smilies ever get tired? Think of them day after day, dancing or crashing computers or laughing or crying till the end of time...
I think they only move when we look at them . . .
What part of “Final” don’t you understand?
Um, the "n" part really throws me. I mean, what's that all about?
One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?
. . . Live!
What would you like to ask to the person to be interviewed after you?
If you could only rescue one item from your burning house, what would it be, and why? (Assume people and pets are ok, so your thing is an inanimate object.)
Happy Birthday! :)
