With a kiss on both cheeks from a stranger
one breath across the bridge and when it’s over

you pocket the diamonds from the coal in dark moons
touch your eyes and walk on

first one foot, then the other - vanish
in tall grass and trenches, whiteouts and moments

of moments you hold in your hand
touch your lips and walk on

first one foot, then the other - into
molten fields of poppies and skydiving suns

the steps behind want to leave this earth

beyond violet where no one follows
you touch your heart and walk on

Your writing is so pretty. The first thing that came to mind when reading this is someone dying peacefully in thier sleep in the midst of a lovely dream. I'm not sure if this is an accurate interpretation, but that's what I got out of it.
