The Panchatantra is indeed one of the greatest classics. it is a popular classic and has untraveled through different lands with its translations into different languages in the world.

I have read the book in my childhood and in those days I took the stories, fables literally and could understand the underlying or figurative meanings of them. Decades after that I am again re-reading the book.

I find every story in the book is philosophically appealing. This book is really matchless, something that cherishes Sanskrit. There are the few of the best ever written or found in print coming from Sanskrit. Sanskrit is indeed an unparalleled book, and no book ever written can match up with the depth and profundity of Sanskrit.

This is the most beautiful language and its literatures are the richest ones in the world but unfortunately they have also been the most neglected ones in the history of world literature.

I suggest read this book and read with no preoccupation and you will come across marvels.

I am very happy at the fact that despite the book was written millenniums ago is still appealing.
