I thought the table would hold these arms
but its legs aren't stable enough
They flap about and knock the sides
sometimes I close my eyes
and see the jarrah floor with my mind
that way the polish will shine
without knowing that it won't matter
where my feet are planted
or how the legs scratch its surface
I can still lean against the table
and face what I need to look at

I just read your poem and i think its brilliant im sorrymy reply is in capitals but i find it difficult to write in lower case please write more i enjoy your poems thankyou for sharing it
