okay, with that sort of title this is bound to digress :D but i wanted to know - don't need references (i googled) - have any of you had to write a paper in 'Chicago Style'? i'd never heard of it before. what happened to good old-fashioned MLA or even, well whatever that one with a 'P' is called!

Traditionally, Chicago style is deep-dish with a flaky crust and marinara sauce on top. :p

What is 'chicago style' then? I've heard of the 'Chicago School' of sociologists, but not that.

Did reply after googling, but then read your post properly, and found you already knew about the referencing.

Yes, 'Chicago' style seems slightly more difficult than others, such as MLA, APA (American Psychological Association), or ASA (American Sociological Association).
A really good website that my former English-and-writing instructor suggested, which provides the essentials:

Good luck, amuse! :)

To tell the full honesty, before opening the thread yesterday, 'Chic Style,' I thought, could pertain to many things. Pizza did not come to my mind as much as clothing styles. I thought 'chic style,' having never heard 'Chicago' abbreviated, hmm, could amuse refer to the newest posh clothing trends that I know nothing about?
No, of course not, then I came to my senses. :D
