'Till The End'

'Walking back and fourth
From corner to corner
I finally come upon
The memories of you
As I do
I jump out of my mind
And take a look at my find

I blow away the dust
I dont want to look
But I must
I open the file
And out pops a pile.
I grab the first memory
And handle it with care
Then I dared
As I read the fist words, they were,
'they were a great little love'
Thats al I could see
Before my eyes
Started to bleed
The water of my soul
And it seemed at once
I was in a trance
Of loving, hating, and terrifying
Past days of my life
That I was sure would never
Happen to me and the one
I want to be my wife.

I collapsed to the floor
Now looking for the invisible door
But all I find are papers
Scattered all around me
They are the last thing I want to see
So I get to my feet
And run as fast as I can
When I run out of breath
I stop and turn around
And those papers are right there to be found.

I dropp to my knees
Knowing that I have unpaid fees
I start to pray
I say,
'Please God I plead to you
My savior what do I do
Please tell me for you are true
Please Lord help me
Tell me why those words are on this paper
For you know but to me its a caper
Looking into my past
All I see is yesterday
Please tell me where are my days?
Please Lord you are my only way'
As if he was in my ear
I hear,
'Youve heard me tell
How much you mean,
Youve seen me on
The scene,
Ive let you know
I do things with purpose
And your thinking was my
Life worth this?
Well I am the
Alpha and Omega
The
Beginning and the End
And I would never
Do anything
That would seize
You to defend
I need you to last
For you are needed
And as you succeeded
You will be put back
Into how you want
To be treated.
You trusted me then
With little sin
Please trust me now
And you will be found
Safe and Sound
With the ones you love
And the ones you need
In your life
And of course you
Future wife'

As I heard
This I leaped
Knowing him
I trust
Knowing that
I must
I throw my hands up
And praise him for what he is
The Alpha and Omega
The Beginning and the End
And The King of Kings
He is my Lord
Hes someone anyone can afford

As I open my eyes
I realize
That what I just saw
Was God expecting
Everything for me
All the sins swept away
Its enough to put me at bay.

Looking to my side
I see the woman
Who makes me grin
Till the End
I see everything in life
I see the woman who
Will forever be my wife'

The first 3 verses definitely drew me back into the past. Been and gone, but the memories are still there. And when they come to haunt, it is sometimes difficult to step out of it.
It seems a bit like a man getting cold feet for his wedding. This poem clearly states how somebody got out of this by putting his faith in a God.

The praying part was a bit long in my eyes (short lines though), but that can very well be because I can not relate to talking with a God while I can relate to the memories.

I like the rhythm of the lines. I can not really figure out a rhyme scheme in it - sometimes it rhymes, sometimes it does not - but it flows along. And I can not really put my fingers on the "why" :).
