Hi
I am wondering if anybody knows the title and author of a classic short story that involves an upholstered chair speaking to a man in the room? I read this story more than thirty years ago.
All I remember is that that is a room in a hotel (inn) and while the man is talking to himself, the chair starts to take part in the conversation. I think the chair actually appears to turn into a man. The next morning, the man is bolder by the day of light.
I would love to read that story again!
Thank you
