I'm new here and just learning how to navigate the site. I enjoy all kinds of reading, particularly classic literature and non fiction (true crime etc). I'm interested in discussing different works and looking into new books that I haven't read yet. I'm always open to learning/reading new things and hope to find interests in genres in which I'm not so well read. Working full time and being a new mom doesn't allow me much bookstore nor social time as I used to have. I hope that by joining this site, I will have more opportunities for reading and discussing.
This site seems large and a bit overwhelming, but I'm sure in time I'll find my niche :)

I'm also not reading as much these days as I used to...not by a long shot. I have a 6 year old and a 4 month old who do not allow for much alone time. Heading over to check out your page

I have a couple of kids about the ages of your boys. It's nice to meet a fellow parent on the forum. This is an excellent place for thoughtful discussions, and light-hearted chit chat.

I'd recommend you check out the General Literature and General Chat forums to get your bearings. You might also want to check out the "Personal Writing" section, which is where members will post & comment on their original works.

Just jump into a thread at any time, everyone here is nice and friendly, except me. So, now that you know who to watch out for, you should be all set. ;)
