Reminds me of a story when I first started at work 20 years ago. There was a female engineer (there weren't that many then, and even now there aren't many, but more), Debbie was her name, and I have a history of things like that here going over my head. I don't remember what the exact discussion was about but there was a series of these things that kept going over my head, and I could see her smile getting bigger with each one. Then the conversation turned to a Holloween and that it was to be on a friday night, and how that was scarier than normal. I, in all seriousness, and I don't know where I got it from, but it was an honest impression, said that I remembered Holloween coming on friday the 13th a couple of years back. Well, everyone just stumbled over that for a second and it dawned on them that Holloween has to be on the 31st. Everyone just started laughing, and Debbie turns to me and says, "M----, you should've have been a blonde." That was sort of an inside joke between us for a while, until she left and I haven't seen her in years. Nice person.
