I know I am imposing on a group of strangers who I don't know at all but for my past arguments in posts here at the forum, but, what the hay.
For the regulars who remember me from 4 months ago, you remember I am not shy about my disability, which is cerebral palsy, which also forces me to depend on wheelchairs. I can handle a great deal, and have lived on my own a long time, independently if not always pleasantly. But, my current landlord is revenovating the building, and all of the current tenants had to be moved--most within the building itself. So far, this killed one of my neighbors, and for me, nearly drove me out of my mind.
The worst is over, and my helper did most of the big stuff, but he is in heavy demand, as most of the community uses him, those of us in wheelchairs and not--and my family just won't take the trouble to care. If anyone lives near center city Philly and can spare me a few hours, I can really use a hand unpacking.
I would not ask, really, if going through this has not traumatized me so badly. I'd buy lunch, or dinner, for any volunteers. It is mostly helping me get things in the right places and all, and the sooner the better. The serious can pm.
Thanks,
Joanne, who has already stressed out
