I'm bored but isn't everyone else here? I mean, what do we come here for?Is it really addictive.? Or is the thought of missing something you have know clue about scare you? Why is the world turning while we are still yearning, only a day away!

I'm not sure about only coming here from sheer boredom. I genuinely enjoy the conversation on this forum.

I aint particularly bored, I have been often referred to as boring however. Also, whilst at work I have bored holes into pieces of wood.

solution to boredom #1

materials needed:

one small white gas container (used for camping stoves)

one small tealight candle

one .22 rifle

one .22 bullet.

one match

you figure out the rest.

solution to boredom #2

Materials needed: 2 lighters

press the button that lets the gas out on one.

then, light the other lighter above the first one...substantially above...

let out short bursts of gas and see them ignite ...

Solution to boredom #1 sounds a lot more fun.

Well, I'm here for a better reason than sheer boredom, but the only reason I clicked on this particular thread was to see what ridiculous tripe I_rock_poems had posted this time. True to form, it was a grammatical catastrophe and just barely hanging on to the last threads of sense. Vaguely reminiscent of nicholasburrass?

a smaller hole is better for solution #1. Therefore, a .22 works great. Trust me.

i am not bored, but procrastinating. a paper is waiting for me to write it.

but! i am silly, so rather than be bored, i could say that i'm board, boored, boorish, moorish, pored (over), pooled, spooled, spun, bunned, and brioched.

Haven't been here for ages, but decided to do a little browsing.

Don't work too hard, dear.

Depending on the phases of the moon, my mood, and the availability of chocolate nibblies, I've been stirring up mischief at other forums, tending bar at my own place, and generally keeping tabs on my chums and fellow lost souls.

You are not known to me, Mr. Bongbong, but I will be your friend. That and $2.75 will get you a cup of coffee and banned at several hi-brow establishments, but I offer friendship anyway.

Awesome, it looks like I'm not the only person who gets kicked out of places. I think we will be good chums.

Ah, you can join my alleged "gang," which includes the likes of "sloegin" and the notorious "Abdorinbo" in wreaking havoc.

We are not so bad, really. And usually when we leave people miss us. Such is life...you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone, "pave paradise and put up a parking lot, lalalala" -- or something like that.

Some Sunday afternoons are slower than others.

Personally, I never seem to get banned (except at my own site, where I'll ban myself every so often) just unpopular! I'm beginning to feel like the old Groucho Marx joke -- I'd never belong to a club that would have me as a member!

But I'll keep a very low profile here. See? You can hardly tell I'm around.

Underpinnings!?! I run a respectable joint! No one ever discusses ladies' unmentionables there! Not often. Not lately. Well...not today -- yet.

When are all you student-types going to stop working so hard and be unemployed like me? Oh wait....

Young Master Bongbong you stay in school and make good grades and don't look at pictures of ladies' unmentionables.

Whew! Nearly found myself in trouble in already!

Here...everyone enjoy the dancing nana awhile, so I can slip out of here undetected.

a) This is amusing because I always seem to get banned when I'm bored or something like that.I like the Marx joke also.

b)I will try to do everything you saay but I can't guarentee it because I'm lazy.

Just as long as it is clear that you are being lazy and not being unduly influenced by a corrupt personality such as myself.

I know where to get plenty of IH fans (and I might convert you yet!), I was browsing around for info on "Crime and Punishment" since I told my friend in exile "sloegin" I would finally get around to reading it, that's how I came to stop back here for a moment, and ran into a familiar face or two.

But now I'm cleverly disguised see -->

And I keep this guy around to create diversions -- >
He's very useful that way.

So I can very sneakily cross the borders into Lit. Network and out again virtually undetected.

You haven't seen me.

Jay refers to the "ih" as in "ihrocks" -- which would be singer/songwriter Ian Hunter. Jay's a big fan! :D Just doesn't know it yet! However, Invasive Hedonism is an underappreciated art.

I'm SOOO not a fan, she just keeps threatening me with more IH all the time! That should be a ban-able offense... *thinks about it* well, I could try anyway :goof:

Friend in exile "sloegin" recommends it highly. He says it will help me overcome the block I have to Russian writers brought on by reading Tolstoy.
sloegin's recommendations have been very good so far.

Here and elsewhere, it just might be! However, at my own humble cyber-pub, I'm free to quote lyrics, promoted upcoming DVDs (April 25th in the UK -- "Just Another Night"), and generally spread the word about a truly great artist who deserves more recognition.

In fact, I feel the need to quote some lyrics right now!

Well, I have a bit of a block to Russian writers because of Dostoevskij...

But I do know a few people who enjoyed the book immensly... they're all insane ;)
Ok, not really, but... nah, doesn't matter, read the book and let us know if you loved it or hated it :)

It is not sublimely addictive to be online, but to communicate freely as you are emancipated here.

You are not getting tuned and that is why you feel bored and once you get hooked or get involved in something of your choice you do not like to part with something that interests or thrills you.

I am happy here with a company of so many friends and all are very interesting.
