The darkness weighs less than before now.
A musty fragrance lies heavy like a harvest
Field of golden corn. In this sealed undercroft,
The voice of the neologian recites the verses of meaning.
Beyond, in the world, the colour of nature
Is weakening, lessened.

Words create the world. They sustain its
Every existence. The neologians words inhabit other minds,
The thoughts of those that make the future.
In weariness of endless life,
The voice knows that, with the last original meaningful
Sentence, in the last unvisited language, freedom
Will explode this place and scatter everything,
Including the neologian, to oblivion.

Those few that know the truth, strive to prevent
The accumulation of thought, of original ideas.
In a quest to prolong this meaningless existence,
The meaningful must be obscured. The neologian
Must remain imprisoned in the world.

How weary the repetition; how tedious the recital.
The dessication of the people, the crumbling
Of language; the peeling away of sound and time.
