on a sunny day the hyena waved to the lion when he was looking. they greeted and played checkers for a while. one day, the hyena tripped and fell on mud, and when the lion roared, the hyena sneered on the other direction, because the pack was looking and hyenas dont like to look cowed in front of the peers. however, the lion never heard the muttering, because the hyena had his back to the lion.
for christmas, the hyenas got many treats from santa claus, because they are nice animals, while lions didnt get any, because they eat babies.
this is the tale of the good and the bad animals of the forest.
what is the moral of the story?

dont roar at people who fall in the mud?
dont eat babies, i suppose was what the narrator thought.
i think there may also have been some race-related stuff, but its hard to say, very hard to say...
