Are Ideology and Morality like AIG and Citibank?

Are AIG and Citibank too big and complex to fail?

Can our high tech capitalism, where extraordinary power rests in ordinary hands, survive such a situation?

How can capitalism adjust?

Are ideology and morality too big and complex to be encompassed by science?

Can our high tech species, where extraordinary power rests in ordinary hands, survive such a situation?

How can the human species adjust?

I am really only interested in this later sequence of questions.

Empires rise and fall, AIG is susceptible like any other corporation to the whims of politics and corruption.

As far as your question about whether capitalism can adjust, you assume too much. There is no one political actor(s) that can have much of an effect on the whole. There is no "capitalism." I wonder if you mean "global system," but even that's antiquated. We live in a post-global world, get with it, man.

And your question about ideology and morality makes no sense. Please clarify.

Darwin informs us that the species that fails to adapt to its changing environment will soon become toast. If we lack the intellectual sophistication required to make a science of these two concepts, ideology and morality, then we lack the sophistication required to adapt to our changing environment and thus will shortly become toast.

the not adapted individuals will certainly disappear eventually. the stronger ones always survive as the pressure(entropy) always increases,
ideology and morality arent too big and complex to be encompassed by science. science is too big and complex to be encompassed by ideology and morality, terms and concepts which are relative and maleable. these terms and concepts are usually manipulated by power structures of all sorts, political, religious, educational, and they exist in this flexible form as to provide a precise instrument of domination and control to fit the means of the leaders holding these strings. the strings change colors and fabric as the leaders change, but they are always there.
