It's the best of the Dan Brown books, Angels & Demons being a close second.

But, I don't know if that's saying much.

It's a similar thriller to his other books, but more based in Washington politics, secret government agencies and national security.

I've read all the Dan Brown books, and Deception Point is not my favorite. The best one, in my opinion, is Digital Fortress.

Deception Point is still pretty good. It is similar to Brown's other books in the widespead conspiracy theme. There is a brief synopsis of it on wikipedia that is gives you a fairly good idea of the book.
