Happy Birthday! :)
An interview with TheLastMelon:
Why are we doing this interview thing?
To get to know each other better.
Are you sure you want to do this?
Yes, quite sure.
If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
Right now I would say it'd be: If You Don't Mean It by Markus Fagervall.
Are you male or female?
Female.
How did you come about this site and what makes you keep coming back?
I was looking for some literature forums to join one boring afternoon, I found this and became a member right away. It's a little bit too big for me, but the people here are nice and there's also something interesting going on.
Are you happy with the way things are here?
Yes, I am.
Have you visited other countries than your own and what did you like about it or not like? If you could live somewhere different from where you live now, where would it be and why?
I've been to Norway, Denmark and Spain. I liked all those countries, but in different ways. But if I'd move somewhere, it'd probably be to a country that is quite alike Sweden, since I like it here. So most likely Norway or Denmark.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have a lovely little cat girl called Tara. She's 1,5 years old.
If you had a long day of hard work ahead of you what music would you be playing on your mp3, while working?
I don't have that kind of job (or rather, will have) where I can listen to music on an mp3, but if I could, I'd probably listen to some Jon McLaughlin, Salif Keita, Timo Räisänen, Coldplay - and other singers/bands I know I enjoy.
Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God?
No, not at all, actually. Used to be, but I've drifted away, and I don't know if or how I'll get back.
Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?
I'd say Gwyneth Paltrow.
Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
I'd be either a pig or a cat. The pig has always been my favorite animal, and I love the paradox. The animal us humans see as dirty and muddy, are actually very clean animals. And cats are very independent, and do what they want to do.
What were your favorite things to do the past? What about now?
Reading has always been a part of my life - so has music. Not much that has changed.
What makes you feel great about yourself?
Knowing that I tried my hardest, did my best with everything I do. Looking good from time to time is not that bad either.
How did you meet your significant other?
We actually met online, on a Swedish online community called Helgon. He wrote a thread on a discussion board, I continued the discussion - and here we are now, more than 4,5 years later.
If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
I'm actually studying to become a teacher in preschool, primary school and special schools. I'll be teaching maths and Swedish, and mostly be doing general pedagogy.
What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?
Spending enough time with the people I love, or not letting them know completely that I love them, before it's too late.
What is your role in an emergency situation: the 911 dialer, the person who runs to the scene to help, the video recorder, or the person too overcome by shock to do anything?
Unfortunately I think it's the person too overcome by shock. But I'd also say the 911 dialer, that could be me as well.
What song is in your head at the moment?
The Day After Tomorrow by Saybia.
Which book are you reading at the moment?
I'm currently reading two books: Heaven's Net Is Wide by Lian Hearn, and also Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer.
The last book you finished reading?
A Swedish book: Andra boken om Kirre by Gunilla O. Wahlström.
Favorite food?/ Comfort food?
I like Chili con Carne! And I also like almost everything that my dad makes. He's really good at food.
What time of day do you most often find yourself on the LitNet?
In the morning and evening.
What are you wearing at the moment?
Black jeans and a black top that says "Rock n' Roll is dead" in read letters, and there's some skulls and stuff on.
First novel you remember reading on your own?
Probably some novel by Astrid Lindgren. It could be Brothers Lionheart.
Favorite TV shows?
I don't actually watch much TV, but when I do I watch nerdy stuff like Idol, America's Next Top Model, Let's Dance...
Last food did you have?
I had dinner last night: Salmon, chipped potatoes and garlic butter. And to that we had a nice sallad with tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, sallad, onion, etc.
Last words you said out loud?
"I'll put on my headphones and listen to some music".
Last person you hugged/kissed?
My boyfriend, Anton.
What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?
I'm a student at The University of Gothenburg, studying my 4th term. And when I'm done I'll be a teacher in preschool, primary school and special school. And I'm very happy about my chosen profession - even though being a student is more about taking loans than earning money.
What would you like to be if you could change your profession?
If I was more creative, I'd want to be a writer.
What scares you?
Not being good enough.
If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?
I'd change my feet. I've got foot-phobia, and don't think my feet improves that phobia.
Which book do you wish you had written?
Wuthering Heights - Emily Brontë
Most and least favorite characters from books?
My least favorite character is Emma from the novel Emma by Jane Austen. My favorite though? I'm not sure, maybe Nalle Lufs from my childhood novels.
What would your biography be titled?
The life of the falling Spring.
What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Clean the bathroom, but for some reason I really don't feel like it. :p
Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?
Depressing Batman.
List some of the things that annoy you immensely.
People that brag about themselves, people that think they know all the right answers when they don't. I'm annoyed with people who talk too much, never listen to others, and always repeat other's words. Etc, etc. :p
If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
I'd do fine being a mute, I think. I would still want to be able to hear music, nature and speaking - and I'd still love to be able to see the world around me. But I'm not much for talking anyway, so that'd work okay.
What’s the first thing you’ll do in an embarrassing situation?
Laugh or look away.
Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
In pursuit, I believe.
What gives your life meaning?
Spending quality time with my loved ones, my family, boyfriend and cat.
What was the happiest period of your life and why?
When I was a kid. I had a very good childhood, and I loved my mother, who unfortunately
passed away when I was only 9 years old. So, the happiest period must've been before I turned 9.

Oh melon, I wished you a happy birthday just before your wonderful interview came out. Well I enjoyed it very much. I found this very humorous:
Favorite food?/ Comfort food?
I like Chili con Carne!
I cannot imagine Chilli con carne in Sweden. :D I guess Mexican food has gone around the world. ;)
