Hello, fellow literature enthusiasts. I stumbled upon this forum and it seemed freakishly appropriate for me, so here I am.
Obviously I love to read, or else I wouldn't have registered. Nearly every genre is represented on my bookshelf-- philosophical texts, poetry, sci-fi, and so on. I also enjoy children's literature (things written by Roald Dahl, Lemony Snicket, etc), as well as anything Gothic-y (ex. Dracula by Bram Stoker). Oh, and I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd, although my Harry-Potter-nerdiness has died down since Deathly Hallows came out.
What else can I disclose about myself? Er... I'm a vegetarian. I drink way too much coffee. When I was a small child, I wanted to be a paleontologist and now every time I see a dinosaur (not a real one, but if I'm watching a documentary about fossils or something) I feel a twinge of regret for opting to become a teacher instead. I hate the winter with a fiery passion. I love the smell of cocoa butter. I have a strange determination to learn every language that has ever existed.
That's about it.
So, I suppose I'll see you all in the discussions. Au revoir...
:p Helen
