1984 English Essay URGENT

Our class is having a test on Friday about 1984, and i have some difficulties with it.

The essay topic is "Imagine a boot stamping on a human face-forever." The party's intention is to supress all sense of humanity. Discuss.

I don't really know how to write a discussion essay, so i really need a few guidance. eg. the main points, how to start and conclude the essay. And perhaps a few tips writing a discussion essay.

Try thinking of all of the things that make humanity great, creative, joyful and fun. Then, think of how government could stamp them out. I would start with an introduction of what you think makes life terrific, and end with what we can do to keep government from ruining those aspects of life.

Examples of the Party's intention is to suppress all sense of humanity:
Abstinence - unless you are procreating for the Party, sex is a no no. Physical and emotional intimacy has been eradicated
Destroying relationships - both family (eg Parsons and his children) and friendship
Newspeak, doublethink - denying them of the basic right: independent thought

A discussion essay presents and discusses issues surrounding a particular topic--usually one that is debatable and open to argument. A good discussion essay must include a thorough discussion of both sides of the topic. It should provide a well-rounded understanding of the issues before the writer presents his personal opinions and conclusions.
