I saw a dream

Let us detract our attention from the literary world for a while and switch our topics. A sudden idea popped up from nowhere about environment. When I go out I encounter lots of things, pollutants, and adulterants everywhere. People are burning toxic substances like plastic bags, coals and carbonizing gases. Deforestation is on the rise. We drive polluting vehicles. We clear forests, bushes for urbanization. We erect skyscrapers, use chemicals to produce more and more toxicants.

It is on air or in print we come across almost everyday holes in the ozone layer are getting wider and wider and some life destroying rays enter thru these holes. We are completely devastating natural parks, and wrecking habitats for animals, birds.

We have completely been amoral and colonizing this planet. We think that this planet is our property and not of the rest of other animals. We have a wrong perception.

I dream of a green earth with a million species of butterflies, birds, animals, fishes, insects and the like. I dream of rain forests with flora and fauna. I dream of rivers filled with clean drinking water. I dream of all people having foods, clothes, shelters. I dream of all who choose to work towards turning this planet into a beautiful, habitable, fertile, and green earth.

There are other forums that deal with environmental issues, and this is a literature forum and such issues have no relevance here but we are part of it and we can not do away with environmental issues.

Our earth is really getting uglier and uglier. Now it has been so ugly, disfigured, deformed that it may turn out to be really an uninhabitable place. Already we have newer diseases, disasters, droughts, acid rains, and food crops are getting damaged by acid rains and intoxicants, chemicals.

Our biosphere is getting polluted, and all of us are too busy with producing intoxicants, pollutants.

Every year so much arable land is damaged, jungles deforested for urbanization. There is little land for agriculture, and most of arable land is totally infringed for forging new cities and human settlements and we fear if this tempo keeps on going we will have to face a situation that our beautiful green planet will turn out to be a very deadly desert. Desertification is on the grow.

Thinking that it can promote ideas and that such ideas can be shared I have posted this.

And I am sad no body seems to take interest.
However I think all of you support this idea.
