I think I've gotten a head of myself a bit by already posting before introducing myself but there's just so many interesting things to post replies to!
My name is Emmy and I am from Australia and live in Sydney. I don't know anyone in my life who is interested in the same books as I am (except for the Bible) and I'm socially awkward so I don't go out there and meet many new people. I generally prefer to stay away from hype (that includes the bestseller list until the book turns cult) and because of this I often feel rather lonely (maybe it serves me right!).
I noticed there is an absence of Australian literature on this site. Is it because Australian lit is not old enough to make it? Do all the writers on here have to be old enough to void any attached copyrights? Perhaps I just don't know how to locate whereabouts on the site they are?
