Beautiful, meg82. Your rhymes flow together perfectly, and never hinder the poem's meaning and direction - something few poets can write. The sentimental story seems very touching and intriguing, especially with its personification and dream-like meditations.
The third line of the first stanza seemed a little confusing, "watched it sink or else forget," and, though it never seems required for understanding from the audience, more punctuation could add to that line's comprehension, and throughout the poem in general.
