I'm not sure how it works, but the banner ads at the top of thread pages often match up with the content of the thread. Mention Quixote a lot and you get an ebay ad for editions of the book. Mention The Big Lebowski and you get Big Lebowski T-shirts. So let's see. I've mentioned The Big Lebowski three times now. Will that be enough to do it? And once we've summoned that spirit, maybe we can move on to more esoteric subjects like rubber sheets, Zoroastrianism and insect repellent.

Moving on, yes, eyes are an interesting subject. Eyes and optometry. Optometrists are for eyes, aren't they? They test your vision. If your vision is bad, you may need to consult an optometrist. Optometry is the medical discipline that addresses problems with eyes, specifically related to vision. If you have a stye on your eye, you should not go to an optometrist.

EDIT oh cool, it worked again. Lots of little ads about astigmatism and do you need glasses.

Silas Thorne
03-04-2009, 09:06 PM
And if you want to remove your eyes, you should not go to an optometrist. Optometrists do not do that kind of thing. As blp says:

Optometrists are for eyes, aren't they? They test your vision. If your vision is bad, you may need to consult an optometrist. Optometry is the medical discipline that addresses problems with eyes, specifically related to vision. If you have a stye on your eye, you should not go to an optometrist.

I wonder if the ads on optometrists show up. If your vision is poor, you will need to get either some kind of laser eye surgery, see an optometrist or get someone to check your retina or corneas out, undergo a full eye examination, and then get corrective lenses, such as glasses, or contact lenses, which may require cleaning fluid.

That's not what I'm seeing now. maybe it was immediate success, everyone can have immediate success in life with this easy to read book that I wrote yesterday on my computer, a book that develops memory, concentration and makes peoples life better overall with immediate success. Wonder and astound your friends, impress your relatives with your almost instant ability to be immaculate perfection! Everyone must read this book, and their memory, concentration span and general sense of wowness will be markedly better. ;)

We're onto a new page. Let's try for something literary. Joseph Conrad. Heart of Darkness (apocalypse now). Conrad. Earlier, Conrad had move to a small village in Sussex. The Secret Agent. Lord Jim. Heart of Darkness. Narcissus. Conrad. Conrad. Conrad.

blp
03-04-2009, 10:35 PM
It's offering me liter ature sum maries, but I don't want that, I want the full texts of the Joseph Conrad books I love so much. Books such as Lord Jim, The Secret Agent and Heart of Darkness. Books by Joseph Conrad.

Silas Thorne
03-04-2009, 10:36 PM
Mr Conrad of Conrad Hall lived in a Secret part of the Heart of Darkness. Conrad was an Agent, but people called him Big Jim. I don't know why. Conrad was not an Englishman, and although he loved the Narcissus, people said he had a Dark Heart, a Heart of Darkness. Conrad the writer, Conrad the man, who is well known for writing Heart of Darkness, the basis of the movie Apocalypse now.

I recently purchases a book of Joseph Conrad / Heart of Darkness criticism for young adults at a bookstore for very cheap. I've been trying to stock up on preparatory reading for when I teach. Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness is something that is commonly taught in high schools, though I never read Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad in high school.

by the way, for my set up, we're still on the first page.

How strange.

I wonder what Joseph Conrad would have to say about that. Sounds like a matter that could be usefully investigated by a secret agent.

I'm getting something on Am er i can L. No Secret Agent, Lord Jim, Narcissus, or Heart of Darkness books.

Il Penseroso

Is it possible to change them after they appear for a page?

Silas Thorne
03-04-2009, 10:45 PM
My memory is good because I wrote this book on improving my concentration, and then read it. I think you all have perfect memories and remember, I'll recall from before:

everyone can have immediate success in life with this easy to read book that I wrote yesterday on my computer, a book that develops memory, concentration and makes peoples life better overall with immediate success. Wonder and astound your friends, impress your relatives with your almost instant ability to be immaculate perfection! Yeah, they seem to change every time you update. That's how we managed to get both L e bow ski Ts and l a s er vis corr ec tion earlier.

Ah, yes, thank you, now my memory of this memory treatise has returned. Sounds like a real concentration aid, rather like the one, if memory serves, that various memory masters used to improve their mnemonic skills and powers of concentration when they were engaged in thinking and other similarly cognitive activities related to cognition.

Do you mean original Star Ways figurines? Like Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and the Death Star. My friend had a miniature Death Star that he could put figurines like Darth Vader and Han Solo in it. I love the original Star Wars, but not the new stuff. Something like Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi. Yoda is cool too.
