View Full Version : Lies after lies

I was in a bad mood when I wrote this. I felt like everything in the world was on it's way to the gutter.

A plate full of lies
And nobody cares.
Misery in disguise
As a wish coming true.
Truth acted out
In a masacer.
You can’t see the difference
Between truth and lies,
And why should you care
If it dosen’t concern you.
Why should you care
About a world you don’t know.
Lie after lie,
And you just accept it
Thinking,why should I care,
When it’s not about me.
I have my sorrows
And I have my griefs.
Why should I care about
A world beyond my reach.

Beautiful, as usual, Helga. I especially liked the following lines:

Misery in disguise
As a wish coming true.
Truth acted out
In a masacer.

Why should you care
About a world you don’t know.

I have my sorrows
And I have my griefs.
Why should I care about
A world beyond my reach.
Well done. You captured well the racing thoughts that occur during times of anger and extreme emotion - those raw, quick-moving intuitive perceptions on paper (or a computer screen).

strong poem. Take a look at my poem Ball Of Lies when you get a chances. It echoes the same stuff.
