There is nothing that infuriates me and makes me crabbier than when I am finally in a writing mood, and I have on my headphones, have my word program open, and am typing, and my mother (or another person) keeps interjecting. They sit on the couh. And talk. And talk. And talk. Or maybe they don't even talk steadily, maybe they just occasionally go, 'And oh yeah! Blahblahblah, so and so won the Oscar!'

And make me crabby and RUIN MY WRITING MOOD!

Does anybody else get frusterated like this?

I know what you mean, Becca, there's just "a mood".

Every time I'm in a lecture hall, someone ruins my good mood.

I'm all set and excited about a lecture and then I hear two idiots behind me talking about how trashed they were on the weekend.

If you're not going to listen, don't come to class and ruin it for me!!

It's not usually a tremendous problem for me, mostly because my parents/siblings let me get on with it. That said, are you on a desktop PC or a laptop? Or, failing easy mobility, you could just take a notebook and go somewhere peaceful. On a nice day I'll usually take my reading and my notebooks somewhere nice - the cliffs if I'm at home, the ruins of a nearby abbey if I'm at University. It really helps the inspiration too!
