I am interested in the Gothic and have read a few Gothic texts. I wanted to depict the Gothic visually however, and wondered if anyone had any suggestions??

When you say "depict the Gothic visually", do you mean writing something (i.e. an essay) on the Gothic way of representing settings etc., or drawing something?
I suppose the general idea is the same, but if you could be more specific on what you want to do, it'd help

Maybe a good way to start would be to look at the works of some Gothic painters.
Here is my favorite, German painter Caspar David Friedrich. His paintings are absolutely haunting, especially his most famous, "the Wanderer above the Mists": http://www.caspardavidfriedrich.org/The-Wanderer-above-the-Mists-1817-18.html
Here's a gallery with his complete works: http://www.caspardavidfriedrich.org/
Just draw a very spooky castle with a lot of fog, and a dark, creepy churchyard in the backround.

If you mean visual as in watchable/seeable what about Tim Burton? Absolutely my modern gothic favourite! :D
Graphic novels like The Crow/Sandman series and some of the japanese anime you can get in music and comic shops is fantastic.
Depends on which age of gothic your looking for but a lot of the Hammer horror film adaptations could be probably be classed as gothic.
If you mean gothic visualisation in literature you coud probably make a good start at Bram Stoker and work your way through the likes of Edgar Allen Poe and Mary Shelley to modern writers like Anne Rice and Poppy Brite etc

Have a look at the works of Gustav Doré - he used to illustrate things in a gothic style, such Poe's The Raven, Paradise Lost, and the Divine Comedy. Certainly an interesting style!
