I particularly like the story of Schezerade, but besides that,
Aladdin, Ali-baba & the forty Thieves is also good

come to think of it, i've never read 1001 arabian nights. i don't even know where i've heard the stories of alladin, abu-hasan and ali-baba, which are ok but weren't enough to make me read the whole lot. i just like scheherezade (or however it's written) and how her stories follow one another, not seeming to end, and the fact that they actually save her life eventually. yeah, i know, the reason the arabian nights were written was to keep those stories alive, but i like better the "frame" story...

Thought you might find this (http://www.online-literature.com/poe/45/) interesting ;)
Ali-baba & the forty Thieves is also good
I particularly agree with this one, though many choose it as a favorite; blame not me for being 'typical.' :D

I picked up a copy of 1001 Nights at a thrift store for 2.50! Best buy EVER.
