Well, you asked : ;)
It's more of a fly assassination. You must wait. Be patient. Wait until the fly is calm and settled, and then strike, with no inessential movements, towards your target! You must also evaluate the conditions. Will your swat strike any other object before the fly? Is the ground below it flat and even? Is there food or are there people anywhere near the kill zone? Read Sun Tzu on the conditions of battle for more.
