A Love Poem

I thought that as it is coming up to Valentine's Day, I would pen an appropriate verse:


My skin is yellow she said to me
As though apologetically
Ah no, it has an ivory hue
It's something that I love of you
My hair I wish that it was blonde
But if I had a magic wand
I wouldn't change a single thread
Of that dark mass that crowns your head
I wish that I was not so small
I love the fact that you're not tall
I wish my eyes were blue and round
Your slanted eyes are more profound
And glitter like two beads of jet
Within their narrow ovals set
And so you know I love you Li
