I couldn't quite recall the story but it goes something like St. Valentine does extraordinary work of love and charity, and when he died or was killed (not exactly sure how) and his heart was taken from his chest, the heart still kept beating. It was placed in a box and locked up in a tall tower and it still beats to this very day...
