Waterfalls of Thought

We cannot know
the challenges faced
in each life, when friends
are not in view.

Patterns days take;
warp and weave,
a tapestry of paths
growing thin in places,
rising high walls in others~
requiring Olympic endeavor

Marathons to
pleasant walks by
waterfalls of thought,
occupy space and time.

While time, slanted sideways
runs away shouting,
"Catch me if you can".

But can you ever
hold an concept
as nebulous as time
to it's own rules?
