No way. Who wants to see the Steelers win their sixth (? I think) superbowl? Go Cardnals, and I think Kurt Warner is just really cool under pressure. If he maintains his emotions under the pressure he will certainly face he has a chance to pull it out. And Fitzgerald is probably the best damn receiver in football. I'm pulling for the underdog. :D

Now, now virg. Just 'cos they spanked your cowboy's all through the 70's thats no reason to be hating;).

There's no way the cards can run against the steelers, and once they have to resort to long bombs to Fitzgerald all game they will be walking into defeat - Polomalu for another INT-TD

Hehe. I wouldn't call it spanking, but the Steelers did usually come out on top and were the better team. If Warner can complete early passes and open the field up, then the running game might open up later. But whatever offense either team generates i think will be mostly through the air. Should be a good game. Or at least I hope so. If it's going to be a blow out, then the Steelers will win. But if it's close, then Warner i think is the better quarterback and he could pull it out. We'll see. :) You have to play the game on the field. Who would have thought the Giants would have won last year?

Steelers refer to the people who make steel. Pittsberg used to be the heart of the steel industry in the US, when we had a steel industry. Cardinals I believe refer to the bird, but I guess the bird was named after the Catholic rank.

That game was amazing, I was about to break something when zona went up 23-20, but that last drive was amazing. People can talk stats all they like but Big Ben is maybe the most clutch QB since Elway & Montana

Yeah that was a great game. Wow, what a finish. If it wasn't for that stupid interception just before the half. If, if, if. Well, Arizona had to play a near perfect game to win and they didn't. But frankly I think they were the better team. Congratualtions to the Steelers. They won it and didn't make too many mistakes. Actually I very impressed with the way the Steelers tackle. They get the ball carier down on the first hit almost every time. But I still think Warner is the better quarterback.

OMG I actually know about this this year, I came downstairs lastnight after midfnight it was our time to see the fuinniest sight ever, my flat mate jumping up and down if fury at the tv because she was trying not to scream and wake us all up!
Apparntly the steelers were doing stupid things and letting the cardinals nearly win or something they were 10-7 at the time.

I was very impressed with the Super Bowl this year. I don't know about everywhere else, but around here everyone acted like the Cardinals didn't even have a chance. I'm so glad that I actually watched it instead of blowing it off like I was considering.

They actually should have won. Pity.

It was an awesome game. Or at least the last few minutes was. And why did that guy thank President Obama at the end? Is that customary?

I didn't see that. I don't think I've ever seen a player thank any president before.

It wasn't a player. It was some very old man. - Edit: it was the Steelers owner. I just thought it was a weird thing to say.

Oh, what probably happened was the President called the winning team. That is typical and I guess it had been minutes before and so he publically thanked him.

Think I'm correct in saying before the game Obama had predicted a Steelers victory also.

Oh that could be it too. Someone told me he was rooting for the Steelers. But the President, whoever he may be, usually calls the winner of the baseball world series and the superbowl.

As much as I respect the popularity of the Super Bowl, it only reminds me that baseball season will begin soon!

Normally I would feel the same Mono, but baseball has been losing its luster for me. When the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, and Angels sign up all the good players, what's a fan of a less prosperous team to hope for? The Yankees signing Texiera this off season was just about the last straw for me.

Yeah but when is the last time the Yankees, Mets, or Angels have won the world series? (I'll give you Boston but they had that looong dry spell)

I am not overly looking forward to the season - the Jays are going into a down year (unless a miracle happens), the only good thing to come from this season will be the firing of JP

Papaya they may not have won the world series in the last few years but the Yankees until last year had been in the playoffs ten straight years, and while I don't know the exact numbers for the other teams I mentioned, they too have been competitve and in the playoffs most of the time in the last ten years. They are always there in the forefront while other poorer teams languish in last or near last place until for one miraculous year they have over achievers who pull the team to the top. The difference is those teams I mentioned are always competitive while the others are competitive once every half dozen to a dozen years.
