Who's reading it? Who's read it?

There's an article out about how it could be one of the most loved, or most hated, books of 2008.

I haven't read it yet because it warns against spoilers, and I'm currently reading the book.

I have recently finished reading this book and it is one of the main reasons I sought a forum to join because it almost demands discussion. Any controversy or hate surrounding the book has to be about the ending. I loved very page of this book and was dreadingthe ending for the simple fact of the story being over, however, upon reading the ending I nearly wished that I hadn't read the book at all.
I was on a bus when I finished reading this and I am sure that in my displeasure I gave more than a few people boarding the bus dirty looks. For about q day and half even as I started reading another book, I was still thinking about Edgar Sawtelle and his dogs. I couldn't decide whether it was one of the best books I had ever read, or the absolute worst.
I will keep this spoiler free, but the story builds up slowly and nicely, and then the ending drops you off a steep cliff that you never saw coming. It does not leave you hanging, thank God, but when you hit the bottom you may wish that it had.
All in all, it is a very good story, and is without a doubt supremely rememberal, but be prepared to sit and think about it for days afterward trying to wrap your head around the ending and thus the true purpose ofthe story.
I would recommend this book to all lovers of fictions especially those who love animals, but don't say I didn't warn you about the ending.

I couldn't finish it. I just did not like his uncle and it made me so tense when he showed up.
