Why don't you buy Boswell's biography and read it, it is entertaining and infomative? Occasianally I used to drink in the public house in London where Dr.Johnson drank in the 18th century. it is very famous and is called the Cheshire Cheese and is close to the house he lived in. He also had connections with the area that I live in because of his relationship with a Mrs Thrale who lived nearby. Her house, Thrale Hall is now a hotel and there is a Dr.Johnson Avenue and a public house called The Doctor Johnson all within 20 minutes walking distance from my home.

How splendid! I do believe I shall buy it, only not quite yet. I've around 30 books in my collection I haven't read YET, and have made a pact not to add any books I haven't previously read to my collection :p.
