To My Wife, With Love

The touch of your lips
So tender and warm
Each time that we kiss it makes me know
That that twinkle in your eyes
Like the fireflies at night
Will always shine for me and me alone…
The warm of your arms
In our tender moments
When your hair shines like sliver on your pillowcase
The touch of your skin
All velvety smooth
Holding me fast in against the odds that we’ve faced
In twenty-nine years
My best friend still by my side
What more could a man want while he lives
The bloom on your cheek
Still like roses in the snow
It doesn’t get any better than this

I see you are getting ahead of the Valentine day rush.

When your hair shines like sliver on your pillowcase

The bloom on your cheek
Still like roses in the snow

"The bloom on your cheek
Still like roses in the snow"
is a uniquely brilliant simile that
reminds me of Pushkin or Chekhov.
You have great powers of description
Pendragon. Wonderful write. tom
